Discover the value of using pen names to manage your multiple brands.
At EzineArticles we call them alternate author names. You’ve probably heard them referred to as pen names, allonyms, nom de plumes or pseudonyms. Whatever you call them, they’re essentially the different unique names that authors use as bylines for their written materials. Each name is used in association with a particular writing style, genre, audience or niche, depending on the needs of the author.

Back in August of 2009, we showed you how to easily add EzineArticles videos (or any other videos for that matter) to your website or blog using YouTube.com’s embed code. Since then, YouTube has revised the process for creating the HTML code to provide more flexibility and a better user experience – so we figured it was time to revisit this topic.
We’ve also upgraded our YouTube Channel recently to be more eye-appealing and user friendly. If you haven’t seen it lately, stop by and take a look around.
(5) Easy Steps to Embedding an EzineArticles Video:
Go to the EzineArticles YouTube Channel and pick out the video you’d like to add to your site. You’ll see a complete list of available videos on the right-hand side of our channel view. Click on the one you want to embed and it will begin playing immediately in the main viewer.
Click on the title of the video you selected beneath the main viewer – this will take you to the main page for that particular video.
Click in the field to the right of the video window labeled “Embed” – this will open a menu of options for customizing the video to suit your needs.
Right click within the field labeled “Embed” and select “Copy” from the drop down menu. The code for the video “Discover the Value of EzineArticles.com” looks like this:
Open the source code of your web page, or go to the appropriate place in your blog (Widgets for WordPress, Gadgets for Blogger) and paste the code where you want it. When you’re all done, the embedded video should look something like this … only larger:

Almost all writers, at one time or another, experience something I like to call “The Zone”. It’s that state of mind where you and your subject become one and the words just seem to flow from your mind to the keyboard.
Anytime you’re in “The Zone” you have the perfect opportunity to use that focus and energy to write several more related articles in a very short amount of time. When you write 2 or more related articles at a sitting, you create what Chris Knight refers to as an article set.

Understanding the concept of the long tail and how it relates to article marketing is key to your article marketing success. By focusing your writing efforts on very succinct and specific subjects within your niche, your ability to put your articles in front of highly-targeted readers and then motivate them to action increases dramatically.
The statistical phenomenon of long tail distribution isn’t very complex – nor is figuring out the best way to capitalize on it. What is difficult for many Expert Authors to grasp is the counter-intuitive nature of the strategy. How can writing for a smaller audience actually increase the click-through rate (CTR) of your articles and the conversion rate of those who visit your site? To many, it sounds like total nonsense.

Finding the Long Tail in Your Niche:
So how do you find the phrases people are typing into the search engines for your particular niche? One of the best ways is by pretending to be your target audience. Invest some time typing search queries for what you’re trying to promote. Then refine those queries over and over until you identify those that generate search result quantities that are representative of the long tail. You can also use research tools like these:

Before we go into the “how to” of RSS, let me define a couple of terms:
RSS – The abbreviation for Really Simply Syndication. RSS is a family of web feed formats used to publish frequently updated works – such as blog entries, news headlines, audio, and video – in a standardized format.
XML – The abbreviation for Extensible Markup Language. XML is a set of rules for encoding documents electronically. In essence, it’s the behind-the-scenes language of RSS.
