Discovering the importance of asking: “What is the life expectancy of this article?”
Article Marketing is one of the best ways to get a continuous and never-ending stream of targeted traffic back to your website or blog – month after month, year after year. Every article you write should continue to work for you by attracting readers, even if the article was written and published several years ago.
In this video, I’ll share with you both the hows and the whys of writing what we refer to as “evergreen articles“.
Now you’re probably asking, “What are evergreen articles?”
The 2nd in a series of videos that brings questionable article-writing practices into the real world.
Two weeks ago we unveiled the first video in this series: Article Content vs. Real Life – Keyword Stuffing. The purpose of the series is to explain certain unethical article practices that are fairly common, yet provide no real value to either the reader or the author … or are just downright naughty. They include everything from keyword stuffing and plagiarism to article spinning and copyright infringement.
If you’ll recall, what motivated this series is the realization that despite the fact that almost all Expert Authors are good people, many of them do things in their article writing and marketing practices that they would never do in the real world. They don’t fully comprehend what’s inappropriate about their actions.
This video series brings these less-than-upstanding article writing practices into the “real world” of everyday life, where it quickly becomes amusingly obvious just how unacceptable they really are.
In this episode, one man discovers the painful consequences of taking credit for somebody else’s work.
Part 4 of the “6 Ways to Overcome Obstacles and Write High-Quality Articles in Large Quantities” video series.
Suffering from a lack of article ideas is arguably the biggest complaint we hear from new and intermediate-level Expert Authors. It seems that no matter which niche(s) they write for, eventually every author reaches a point where they feel like they’ve run out of ideas. If that sounds like you, take heart, Gary’s here to help!
In this video, Gary will provide 8 unique techniques for generating fresh article ideas. Some we’ve covered in the Blog before and others are brand new. So invest a few minutes with Gary right now, because you never know what new idea-generating tips and tricks you might discover.
The first in a series of videos that brings poor article-writing practices into the real world.
For months we’ve been struggling with the question of how to explain the “wrongness” of certain article practices. Practices that are fairly common, yet provide no real value to either the reader or the author … or are just downright unethical. They include everything from keyword stuffing and plagiarism to article spinning and copyright infringement.
What we realized is that despite the fact that almost all Expert Authors are good, decent human beings, many are doing things in their articles that they would never dream of doing in the real world. Their reaction when confronted with this fact is almost always one of confusion. They find it difficult to understand what’s wrong with doing what they’re doing.
Last week, with the help of our Editorial Staff, we found a promising method for explaining this concept. When these bad article writing practices are brought into the “real world” of day-to-day life, it quickly becomes stunningly obvious how wrong they really are.
Swag-noun: A slang term for free promotional items … often pronounced or spelled shwag or schwag. (Wikipedia.com)
Let’s face it, we love to give stuff away. We’re especially well-known for our highly coveted mugs, which are treated more as trophies than beverage receptacles. First-timers are often amazed at how much effort top authors will invest merely to lay claim to an EzineArticles mug.
In the last year, our Hundred Articles in a Hundred Days Marathon Challenge (#HAHD) has clearly become the poster child for our obsession with shwag (our preferred spelling). As a reward for writing and submitting 100 articles in 100 days, we send each qualifying member an assortment of cool promotional items.
We just passed the 3-week mark in #HAHD 4. This is the point in the challenge where we typically start to see a separation between the truly dedicated Expert Authors and the author wannabes. So we figured it was time to remind you of what you’re working toward … or could be working toward … if you were to enroll in the #HAHD 4 Marathon Challenge.
With that thought in mind, we put together this 2-minute video to highlight the selection of fine promotional items (aka: shwag, booty, goodies, prizes, etc.) that are being offered up for #HAHD 4.
Discover one of the best ways to quickly and easily improve the overall performance of your articles.
Your article’s title can have a significant impact on the success of that article. The first 3-5 words of your title can dramatically increase how much traffic your article will generate back to your website. You could have the world’s best article, but if you have a poor title you’d only see a fraction of the potential traffic a great title would bring.
Ensuring that your titles are keyword rich and benefit-oriented will help your articles achieve maximum readership and exposure.
So how do you create article titles that will drive massive traffic back to your site? Well that’s what this 5-minute video is all about. In it, I’ll give you some valuable tips for finding and formulating titles that not only describe your articles’ contents, but also attract readers and push your articles toward the top of the search engine results.
Part 3 of the “6 Ways to Overcome Obstacles and Write High-Quality Articles in Large Quantities” video series.
One of the biggest challenges you’ll face as an Expert Author is getting yourself motivated to actually write. For some reason, even the most accomplished writers often struggle just to get started.

5 Tips for getting your articles picked up by ezines, newsletters, blogs, magazines and newspapers.
One of the key components of successful article marketing is maximizing the number of people who read your articles. When more people read your articles, you get more clicks. When you get more clicks, you get more conversions; and conversions equal success. That’s really all there is to it.
There are many ways you can improve your readership, but one of the best (and easiest) ways is to have your article(s) “picked up” and published in another publication. This can be online, like in ezines and on blogs, or in hard-copy, like newspapers and magazines.
In this video, I’m going to give you 5 tips to increasing your articles’ chances of being picked up by another publication. These tips are less about attracting publishers to your articles and more about maximizing your chances of having your article published once they find it.
Submitting articles right from your WordPress interface just got a whole lot easier!
When version 1.0 of the EzineArticles WordPress plugin was unveiled last month, members rejoiced at the opportunity to easily repurpose new and existing blog and website posts right from their WordPress user interface. The resulting influx of excited new users was like beta-testing on steroids!
Our development team quickly realized that version 2.0 needed to come sooner, rather than later.
As soon as the new version was live, we immediately went to work creating the following video to show you how to use it. In this video, I’ll walk you through the simplified installation and activation process as well as the enhanced article submission procedure.
A video testimonial to the success of 7 seemingly ordinary EzineArticles members.
Two months ago, we asked you to promote your article writing and marketing success to the world via video [See the 2/26 Blog post]. Many of you sent us links to YouTube videos telling us your story and hoping to catch our eye. Out of all those videos, 9 did indeed catch our eye. Of those 9, 7 survived the difficult choices we had to make during the editing process and went on to become an integral part of the final video.
That video truly and succinctly tells the story of success we were hoping it would tell. A story of the passion, enthusiasm and diversity of our members. 5 women and 2 men, some young … and some not-so-young, from different places in the world, come together in this video to share their message.
And their message is clear: Anybody can be a EzineArticles Expert Author.
Now, as they say in the movies … ROLL ‘EM!
If you were paying close attention, you would have noticed that there were virtually no similarities between any two people in that story – yet they were all successful EzineArticles members. And they’re not unusual. In fact, our experience has shown that with a little effort and tenacity, almost anybody can realize the same level of success achieved by the members highlighted in this video.
