In 2011, Cyber Monday was the biggest ecommerce spending day of the year, logging a massive $1,251 Billion dollars in online orders.

Online merchants should drive their promotional activities around this major shopping date.

Running special Cyber Monday promotions on products or offering free shipping on Cyber Monday ( a big driver of sales this year) will ensure that your marketing message connects with what online shoppers are looking for… “Cyber Monday Deals” “Cyber Monday Specials”, etc.

We’re also increasingly seeing “Cyber Week” events and promotions. So merchants can actually extend holiday promotions into the following week.

Finally, make sure that all your marketing (blogs, social media, email marketing, website marketing) include keyword references to Cyber Monday. Don’t just call it a “holiday sale”.

Also, include visual marketing in your Cyber Monday promotions.

Create a Cyber Monday graphic for your website and promote your event on Pinterest and on your Facebook business page.

Sales for Cyber Monday 2012 are projected to surpass last year, so now is the time to prep for what is likely to again be the biggest online shopping day for 2012!

Hi, Vanessa, Kindly come to my aid, by enlightening me a bit on the cyber Monday. I am still lagging behind or to say that, I hadn’t anything yet to market on the cyber Monday. However, I have to wish people with products to sale, happy and huge sales in the period under review. Wishing all happy sales success.
