Expert Author Showcase: Lisa Michelle Jones

Meet EzineArticles’ Expert Author Lisa Michelle Jones in Today’s Showcase

Helping individuals solve problems by providing them with the information and resources they need is the first step to writing quality, original, reader-oriented articles. Not only has Expert Author Lisa Michelle Jones achieved this first step, she has done it in a highly competitive niche: Personal Bankruptcy.

Having enjoyed writing her entire life, Lisa began posting articles on the Internet 5 years ago. “I started writing and posting, and it was all over, I couldn’t stop,” she said.

After taking a bike ride to the beach or going to the gym to clear her head and get her creative writing juices flowing, Lisa will set out to research her latest topic. Gaining inspiration from trends in the economy or politics, Lisa is conscientious and dedicated to the topics she writes about. “In this day and age of compromise, someone needs to stand up and tell the truth,” she commented. “I am very proud of my work.”

Lisa’s Article Writing Challenges and Solutions

  • Finding article content that is original and hasn’t been written about many times. Many times it’s best to write about something that you have dealt with personally. You can’t help but be original when talking about life’s experiences.
  • Marketing the article so someone will read it. The biggest help in getting an article out there is Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn. It’s the fastest way to draw traffic to your articles.
  • Finding Focus. I would focus the article writing to topics that I have a lot of experience in. [Don’t] just pick random subjects, [do] a little bit of research, and [write] an article.
  • Articles need to be truthful and contain valuable information. When information comes secondhand, a person needs to corroborate it before writing on it.

How Article Writing Fits into Lisa’s Overall Marketing Plan

“When it comes to writing articles, is the premiere article writing website. The articles posted on EzineArticles carry more weight because of their quality. Using these articles to link back to your business website is a big help with keyword promotion.”

EzineArticles Tools Lisa Finds the Most Beneficial

“Many times we forget about the simple things and just need to be reminded of them. Having the article writing tips makes the process go much easier….

“My favorite benefit of the Premium membership is the ability to time the release of my articles. In today’s busy world, time is an irreplaceable commodity. Being able to write articles in advance and post them later by setting up the posting time allows you to put a few in the queue… The overall experience I’ve had with EzineArticles has been amazing and I will enjoy posting here for years to come.”

Thanks for the tip about posting your articles and timing them to be released at a later time. I have not done that.

I understand. Sometimes it is very challenging to come up with subjects and write good articles, but persistence honestly saves the day every time. Especially when creating good articles. My last published article (I have written a couple since then), “Calling All Genuinely Normal People, Who Is Strange Among You?” came from an internal crisis I had of discouragement. See, some of the best articles and writing come from crisis points in life, but some of the best also come from their opposite when you are totally happy, and a few from that “okay” middle ground. My point is, if you pursue what you need to pursue well, creativity is always possible.

As for, they have been the best, I agree totally with that. They have been a boon to my writing career and visibility.

You have very good advice for those that want to market their articles and you keep up the good work, I shall keep up mine. See you on EzineArticles!

Writing a topic about which we have first hand information I mean we are expert, is a sound way for getting attention. That would make our article read as it will be genuine.

Hi Lisa
I have taken note of your key tips to successful articles. I have been with EzineArticles for a while but I just need to get my butt in gear and find a suitable niche so I can create something meaningful that will encourage readers to come back for more. I not an overtly creative person so it will be my own personal challenge to get at least one click through from something I have produced. Just wanted to say thanks. Hopefully my website will be up soon.
Best regards

Thanks for your helpful tips, Lisa. I’m so shy about starting an article that I’ve procrastinated too long. It seems to take me so long to organise my thoughts and points into some cohesive whole.
I have to get myself into gear soon or lose the wheel altogether.

As it has been said, there is a real energy in starting and just doing it. offers some wonderful videos and blogs and templates for creating articles. Also, Jeff Herring offers a wonderful set of templates and ideas. Instead of starting on your own and re-inventing the wheel, just try some of these ideas and templates, such as “7 reasons to….” Then all you have to do is list the 7 reasons, add a bit of info for each reason, put in an intro and an ending. And voila – you have an article.
And remember, it doesn’t have to be perfect. Just share about a topic you know something about.
