Behind the Scenes at EzineArticles: Meet Courtney

Get an inside look at the team behind the scenes at EzineArticles.

You will find out more about their role at EzineArticles, hear stories about what it’s like to work here, gain insider tips and maybe even get a peek into their personal lives. In the process, you will discover a little bit more about who we are as a company, a website, and as a team!

It was nice getting to know Courtney – would love a peek into the lives and times of Chris Knutson and Marc from the EzineArticles team too.

Maybe even a picture of the new headquarters and the famous slide :-)

Deepanjolie –

Thanks for your suggestions about who should appear in upcoming “Behind the Scenes” videos. We’ll do our best to convince Chris, but he can be a bit camera shy at times. ;-) Regarding me – everybody around here says that I get too much screen time the way it is. I doubt they’ll want to give me more!

In the next few weeks, we’ll be posting a “Behind the Scenes” video about Rob, our Director of Online Education. I’m told that one piece of video will show him on one (of 3) of our in-house slides, so you’ll be able to get a look at one of them in use. In the meantime, here are some still pictures:

Enjoy!

Marc –

You’ve got a way with words – am sure you’ll convince Chris.

As for the too much screen time part, maybe you could share some with dev/mgmt/cs/ed team members and do a cyber monday quick-time video (2 mins) of a typical day at EzineArticles HQ?

Looking forward to seeing Rob’s video & hey, thanks for pix – work looks fun

Rgds,

Deepanjolie

It is nice to be able to see that we are working with real people, who have their own interests and hobbies. When you are working from home, sometimes you may be working with some one who lives on the other side of the planet, and its very easy to be so impersonal with them, and not really see them as real people.

So Thank you Courtney for sharing your interests with us.

How come this video told us nothing about Courtney’s qualifications? If she’s assessing the quality of submissions, presumably she has several years’ experience in journalism and/or publishing. But no mention was made of this!

David –

You’re right, that was an oversight on our part. Here’s a little bit more on Courtney’s background:

Courtney studied 4 years of Journalism at the University of Minnesota and worked as an editor for a Northeastern Wisconsin newspaper for 3 years. She was also an Editor at EzineArticles for several years before becoming a Quality Control Editor.

Are you sure Courtney really works there, she looks like a California Hollywood Movie Star. You probably just hired her for the day to shoot that glamous video! Ha ha ha. Keep up the good work Courtney!

Lance –

I can assure you that Courtney does indeed work here. Perhaps this video was her first step toward Hollywood stardom …

Hi Courtney,

The video is indeed done nicely and who knows perhaps Marc’s words may prove to be true!

Further, I am in agreement with the suggestions given by Ms. Deepanjolie Figg.
