Deal Yourself a Hand of Article Writing Inspiration

With the Soon-to-be-Released EzineArticles Article Template Playing Cards!

It’s Saturday night and you’re looking for something fun to do to. Suddenly, you remember you had planned an article writing session for earlier in the day but other things came up and kept you from writing.

You really want to meet that writing goal, but you also want to have a relaxing night with some of your article writing friends. Your urge to just push off the writing until tomorrow is strong … after all, there’s always tomorrow, right?

Well, why not combine the two? Now you can with the EzineArticles Article Template Playing Cards!

This deck of 52 playing cards is anything but standard. Each of the 52 playing cards features a unique article template. Their purpose is to give you a quick visual synopsis of 52 different article styles and hopefully spark some article writing inspiration.

Whoever said you couldn’t combine business and pleasure? Here are some ways to do just that by combining article writing with the fun of playing these card games:

  1. Go Fish
With an Article Writing Twist …

    • When you’re told to “Go Fish,” you have to come up with an article title based on the template card you pick up.
    • Come up with at least one article title from each of the cards left in your hand at the end.
    • At the end of play, pick a card from each set you laid down and write a title from it.
    • etc …
  2. Crazy Eights
With an Article Writing Twist …

    • For each card you draw, you have to write at least one title based on the template on the card.
    • For each card you lay, you have to create a title from that card’s template, say it and write it down for later use.
    • At the end of play, write a title from every card left in your hand. If you have none, write one from the last card you played.
    • etc …
  3. Poker
With an Article Writing Twist …

    • Winning or losing hands have to develop a title for each card in their hand.
    • For each card you discard, you have to create at least one title.
    • Write a title for each of the cards that count in the value of your hand.
    • etc …
  4. War
With an Article Writing Twist …

    • Your remaining cards after two rounds of play are each turned into a new article title.
    • Face-down cards won on “war” each have an article title written based on them.
    • etc …
  5. Blackjack
With an Article Writing Twist …

    • Write an article title based on the last card you’re dealt each round.
    • When the “dealer” wins, everyone else has to write a title based on a template from the cards they were dealt. When someone else wins, the dealer has to write one for each of his cards.
    • Anytime you get a natural Blackjack, you commit to write a full article based on the ace template in the the coming week.
    • etc …

… And if all of your article writing friends are busy writing articles, try Article Template Solitaire!

What is the price of these playing cards?

Hi Alan-

The deck of cards package will cost $20. That includes the deck of cards, PDF’s of all article templates, and a video, “Using Templates to Quickly Generate Articles”. We will cover shipping.

We included the PDF’s so you don’t have to worry about spilling your favorite beverage on the cards while playing poker with an article writing twist on a Saturday night. :)

It’s a fun little package that has an educational back-bone to it.

It should be available for purchase within the next couple of weeks. More details will come soon.

Love these! Some of my best writing comes from prompts, rather than brainstorming or research. It would be fun to get a little healthy competition going with my sister (also a writer) and play “Hi, Low.” We could each cut the deck, write on the prompt, and compare. Fun!

Won’t submitting an Ezine article to my website – giving references and following all the rules etc, promote the new “Duplicate Content” rule Google has just imposed?

The new “Duplicate Content” rule automatically kicks you off Google…
This forced me to delete some really great articles I posted from your authors.

Looking for some answers here.

Edie,

We don’t speculate on what Google will or won’t do. It changes almost every single day.

If you don’t feel good about taking the up to 25 articles our Publisher TOS allows per year, then don’t do it and we won’t think less of you either way.

Keep in mind, even when you do everything that you think is right, you still can get hurt. Therefore, it’s best to just keep on considering what is best for your business and how you can deliver your website visitors a positive experience.

Where does the content fit in? I have no problems with titles, but I do somewhat with content. Nevertheless, it looks like a fun game to me.

Elena – The content comes later; after the game. You’d write the articles based on the template card and the title you came up with during the game. It’s safe to say that the fun would slow down significantly if you were to stop in the middle of the game to write a complete article. ;-)

Elena-

Coming up with content can be a real challenge for everyone. There are some great strategies to help with this inside of the EzineArticles Formula training course.

http://ezinearticlesformula.com/HomeStudy/

The entire course is well worth your investment, but here’s an early tip for you … if you only need a bit of help in a certain area, you’ll soon be able to purchase any of the 10 modules inside of The EzineArticles Formula separately.

Module 3 is solely devoted to coming up with great content and will turn you onto numerous ways to come up with great content for your articles.

More details on that opportunity are coming shortly.
