5 Cyber Monday Tips for Expert Authors

Take Advantage of Cyber Monday

Cyber Monday is fast approaching – are you ready? Dubbed the biggest online shopping day of the year, Cyber Monday follows the rigorous shopping surge of Black Friday and offers exciting deals, discounts, and more.

What Does This Mean for Expert Authors?

Expert Authors can use Cyber Monday as a niche booster. How? By getting ahead of the competition, tapping into that huge online traffic surge, building exposure to your platform, and increasing your authority in your niche.

What’s Your Cyber Monday Strategy?

Publish your articles now!

Get ahead of the competition by writing and publishing your articles before Cyber Monday. In turn, your articles will get indexed by search engines in order to help users scope out the deals they want from trusted sources as well as find what they need on the big day.

First, set a Cyber Monday goal and integrate your other resources and strategies back to it. Once you have a goal, fire up your editorial calendar and start planning, writing, publishing, and sharing your articles with the tips below.

5 Tips to Writing Articles for Cyber Monday

#1: Happy Holidays! Switch on your non-evergreen holiday writing lens. If it’s applicable and relevant to your niche, consider article topics that relate to holiday themes. For example: winter, sales, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, the Holidays, Charity, etc.

#2: What Do They Want? Find out what your customers/clients are going to be looking for this Cyber Monday and for the Holiday season in general. Concentrate on what people want, such as product reviews or “how to” articles (like finding deals, things to avoid, etc.).

#3: How’s Your Call-to-Action? Your Resource Box should provide a compelling call-to-action (CTA) that helps you achieve your Cyber Monday goal. Keep it simple, use power words (e.g., seize this opportunity, before you forget, boost, and energize), and lead with the benefit. Consider introducing a relevant free gift, such as an ebook, or draw attention to a free service or resource on your site. Don’t forget: Everything you publish now should be applicable after the big day. So no expiration dates!

#4: Write and Publish NOW. Combine points 1, 2, and 3 to create relevant, engaging articles your audience wants. Submit and publish these articles before Cyber Monday so search engines and readers can do the things they do best – index, rank, and search.

#5: Incoming Traffic! Your readers should feel happy and welcomed to your website (via the links in your Resource Box). Ensure your website is relevant and engaging without going overboard with excessive CTAs, links, and other flashy items. Your primary goal for Cyber Monday should be front and center.

Bonus Tip: Monitor Your Website’s Speed. So you might not get inundated by website traffic like big-box stores, but you still should make sure your website speed is FAST. Prepare by testing your website speed. We use services like Pingdom Tools, which offers a quick and easy resource to test your links; click here to check out our Uptime.

Submit your high-quality, original articles today to get ready for the incredible rewards Cyber Monday offers. We’ll have some more Cyber Monday tips coming up this week to help you get the most out of your article writing efforts, so stay tuned!

Yes! Cyber Monday is the way to go. Who wants to be in a cold dark parking lot at 4:00am on Black Friday with hopes that you don’t get crushed by the crowds and that “got to have” product is still available.

Beam me up to Cyber Land!

Brian,

The simple answer is as soon as possible. Cyber Monday is only 10 days away and you want to start capitalizing on that fact as quickly as you can.
