Article Writing Blueprint For Success

What’s In Your Game Plan?

Coming up with a successful game plan can make your life much easier as an article writer. Here’s a short list of considerations you need to make to help ensure your campaigns are ultra-successful:

1. Choosing A Niche

Your first choice is a very important one: Be certain you choose niches you are passionate about. It’s hard to position yourself to an audience as an expert of a niche you are only mildly interested in. Your readers rely on you for valuable information and tips that will help to keep them on track with their own efforts. Make sure you can deliver on your assumed positioning as an expert in your niche and let your passion shine.

2. Article Content

The content of your articles is very important. Here’s a series of questions you can ask yourself to make sure you’re writing articles that make sense for you:

  • What part of my personality do I want to shine through my articles?
  • Do I want to add an element of humor? If so, what is appropriate?
  • Is there a hook I can add to each article (e.g. a joke, a quote, or a tag line that will help with branding and positioning)?
  • Do I want to employ a storytelling approach (more personal) or an informational approach (less personal)?
  • What do my readers want from me? Put yourself in the shoes of your readers and write through their eyes.

3. Article Marketing

Here’s a short list of variables to consider to help you stay on the fast-track to getting the most out of your article writing and marketing efforts:

  • What is my game plan for writing a large enough article library to make an impact?
  • Balance the titles of your articles so they are well positioned with keywords while maintaining readability.
  • Create a well-designed resource box to include: your name, your website address, your sales pitch, and your call-to-action.
  • Use a self-serving link in your resource box to give something valuable away to your readers.
  • Make sure your word count is in the 400-700 range to match the reading habits of most Internet users.

4. Article Review

Your articles are a reflection of you. With each article you write, it creates another opportunity for you to build your credibility and expert status with your readers. Here’s a short list of considerations to help you do just that:

  • Proofread your articles to ensure they are grammatically sound.
  • Have someone with a good understanding of the English language proofread your articles for a quality check.
  • Make sure your articles use plenty of white space and provide bullet points to make them easy to read.

We should all write more articles, but there’s only 24 hours in a day, and so much to do, that sometimes article writing gets put on the back burner, I know that I am guilty of this.

I must make a new year resolution to take it easy, give my brain a break, think clearly, and when I have done the thinking, I can start writing again.

I know this doesn’t have a lot to do with this article, but I just wanted to get it off my chest.

I know it would seem like article marketing has been severely, altered and hampered by what we have to acknowledge is a brave new world, where grammar may not be as important as we think, after all, I know for a fact that some computers are terrible spellers, and they use incorrect English sometimes, mostly because we are not perfect and that at the end of the day is the truth of which we must live, we do not walk on water, we do not by the power of our own minds, grow taller.

The truth is that in the end, imperfection is human and to forgive is divine, to ignore that fact is stupid.

Having a successful game plan is something I personally have not paid a lot of attention to which of course would explain some of the results I get.

One particular area is Article Marketing – this post opened my mind up to some tips which I had not thought of before. In particular the first point under this category.

I never thought of what impact I wanted my article library to make to my readers, at least I haven’t as yet taken an in depth look into this before.

Looking forward to how the contribution of this particular tip will help increase my readers in 2012.

I haven’t been writing or posting for a long while. I got disgusted with the articles that were submitted during the contests. Making a plan is the best idea, yet. Pick a good niche and make a plan. Thanks for all the help EzineArticles gives.

Yes, writing articles is a tough job especially to neophytes. There are lots of things to consider before one can be a good article writer. However, if one is eager to learn the ropes, of course, there are always ways of doing it–the fun and easy way. Above strategies are good enough to follow in order to ensure high quality, reader-friendly and fun-read article/s. Keeping abreast with the trend, and sticking to the old and tested strategies are both helpful to a neophyte’s fun and meaningful article writing-marketing journey.

I do not have a website that I can place on here
But I do have one for a business I am a consultant.
I do write what I have experienced and know about to even start writing about
I can not rev it up to look better to the writer
So why would I
I just write the facts.
And to allow for what I have experienced I need to stick to the simple facts.

I always stick to a niche at first. However, in the middle of the writing i get distracted to somewhere else. This problem is not getting solved. I am working hard on it and i hope these tips will now help me to overcome my problem of not being able to concentrate.

Hey Albert:

You may find this tip helpful – try using relaxation music when writing – it helps you to focus – it doesn’t necessarily have to be a slow tempo composition, try an upbeat tempo. I recommend instrumental compositions only unless you find any type of music helps you.

The feedback I get from people who listen to music with lyrics is it can be very distracting and from a subconscious level you listen to the music more than you concentrate on the task at hand – writing your article.

I have found ambient-nature compositions help me to be a successful writer.

Article writing I guess for many marketers is a pain in the butt if you’re not born with a gene for writing and the love to write. Even more though if your native tongue is not English. My personal solution I’ve come up with is to outsource the article writing. Once you’ve found some good writers who are affordable as well, you’ve cleared that roadblock out of your way.
