We looked back at submission records to find common reasons why articles aren’t approved initially. Then, we compressed that information into individual 2-minute videos to save you time.
Anchor text is any word or group of words that is an active link to a webpage. Anchor text stands out from the rest of the text because it is blue in color and underlined.
Integrating anchor text links into your articles is a great way to connect readers to more information about your topic.
In this video, I share the ninth tip, “Monitor Anchor Text.”

Increasing efficiency in your article writing and marketing strategy.
A couple weeks ago, I gave a presentation titled “Article Writing with a Marketing Focus” for the Internet Marketing Club’s weekly webinar.
The Internet Marketing Club is a great place for internet marketers of all experience levels to gather, network and discuss industry trends.
They also hold a webinar every Wednesday to introduce new and relevant topics in the world of internet marketing. Today’s video is a replay of the webinar from Wednesday, October 13th.
The presentation gives a snapshot of what successful article marketing looks like. It also gives some insights on how you can increase the efficiency of your article writing efforts to get more pre-qualified traffic back to your blog or website.

The 15th edition in a series of posts that highlight one Expert Author who has achieved success by doing just one thing exceptionally well.
Willie Horton eats, sleeps and drinks what he does. He works to help people live better lives and make good life decisions. Willie is a personal and business development consultant.
In his own words, “I am constantly thinking of more ways to explain to ordinary people how they can be extraordinary. I’m permanently on a mission to get out the message that we can all live effortlessly happy and successful lives on our own terms.”
Willie started article writing and marketing to help build awareness and interest in Gurdy.Net, the personal development website he launched in 2008.
A crucial step to maximizing your exposure as an Expert Author.
You’ve probably heard the terms “Author Photo” and “Author Bio.” You may even know a little bit about your “Extended Author Bio.”
What you may not know is how these items are related and, more importantly, the value of filling in your whole Author Bio.
Every author has an Author Bio that contains a list of their published articles, but it’s surprising how many authors haven’t taken advantage of the rest of their bio by filling in more about themselves.
Once you write and submit an article, the link to your bio shows up on every article right below the Resource Box.
Making a Public Profile
Filling out your public profile is the quickest and easiest way to give readers a place to find more information about yourself. Here is the 3-part process for completing your Author Bio:
Providing original, new content in every article should be a primary goal of every article writing and marketing expert.
When you’re having trouble keeping your content fresh and interesting, try to think of yourself as presenting a TV talk show.
The goal of the talk show host is to learn as much about his guests as possible. Likewise, your goal should be to discover and share as much about the topic you’re covering as possible and present it in an appropriate manner. You’re the expert, so prove it by sharing all the useful information you can. Also, pose your own questions during the research phase to get extra details.
Keeping Your Audience “Tuned In”
Talk shows are typically both informative and entertaining, and this can also be an effective way to approach article writing and marketing. When informative content is presented in an interesting way, it’s a lot easier for the audience to stay tuned in to what you have to say.
This article template is all about location, location, location.
Each of us has knowledge and experiences to share from the places we’ve grown up in, lived in and travelled to, but we may not really think of the locations as sources of article inspiration.
In fact, sharing location-specific details about places you are familiar with is a great way to write relevant content and build your credibility as an Expert Author.
Whether you’re giving a travel recommendation, sharing a perspective on cultural values or providing an insight on local/regional laws, location-specific articles can give new life to your writing. For example, it can be fun to put a spotlight on specific restaurants, shops or attractions that you feel are essential to living “like a local.”
This article template is a guide for embracing the local expert in you.
If you’re new to article writing, you might be feeling a little overwhelmed and looking for directions on how to get started.
The thought of starting an article writing and marketing campaign may seem like a daunting task, but if you take it one step at a time, it becomes much more manageable.
In this video, I’m going to share an 8 step process for writing and submitting an article. Whether you are sitting down to write your very first article set or you’re an article marketing veteran, this process can help you come up with great article ideas and work through writers’ block.
