#HAHD Just Got A Whole Lot Easier!

Participating in the 100 Articles in 100 Days Marathon Challenge (#HAHD) just got a whole lot easier!

Thanks to a recent upgrade to the EzineArticles Member Interface, you’ll now be able to actually “sign-up” for the #HAHD Challenge, check your progress anytime and never have to submit a prize claim email again!

How is this Different?

Previously, you did not have the option to sign-up. You simply notified us when all 100 articles were submitted. You also had to manually track your article submission progress. We have taken the guesswork out so you can focus on your writing.

With the newly added features, you will now be able to sign-up for the challenge, track your #HAHD submissions, and update your address on file to make certain you receive your prizes for all your hard work. Are you ready?

Here’s How to Sign-Up:

  1. Log in to the EzineArticles Member Interface.
  2. Click on the “Sign Up for the #HAHD Marathon Challenge” text link in the left navigation bar.
  3. Verify your postal mailing address and update it if necessary. This address must be correct in order to receive your prizes.
  4. Select the author(s) you want to enter into the challenge. Keep in mind that articles from multiple author names may not be combined. However, multiple author names may qualify individually. Prizes will be awarded to each qualified author name.
  5. Click the “Verify & Sign Up” button to submit your #HAHD enrollment.
  6. A confirmation window will appear confirming your enrollment.

In the left navigation bar you’ll now see one or more progress bars indicating your current progress in the #HAHD Challenge for each author name you’ve selected. Once you have submitted the required 100 articles, the progress bar will be be filled and show “100% Complete” beneath it.

That’s all you have to do – you’ll receive your prizes a few weeks after the completion of the challenge!

Just remember, if your postal address changes before the completion of the challenge, you will need to manually update your mailing address by clicking on the “Account Manager” drop-down menu and selecting “Change Account Information” from the menu.

Note: If you’ve already sent a prize claim email for the 3rd challenge, there’s no need to do anything. Your account has been updated to reflect your enrollment and completion of the challenge.

Even if you haven’t started yet, there’s still plenty of time to get those 100 articles written! After that, you’ll be reaping the benefits of increased traffic, credibility and exposure from those articles for years (yes, years!) to come. Now get out there and enroll, then keep writing!

Leave a comment to let us know how this new upgrade works out for you.

after signup, can we change the mailing address later?

Comment provided February 3, 2010 at 12:01 PM

You can change your address at any time. We ask you to update your address during this process so we are not sending packages to empty spaces :)

Marc discusses in this post how you can manually change your address if needed.

This is fabulous! I love this feature. I have my little notes here about how many I’ve submitted and now I can just “see” how far along I am each morning when I’m submitting my two for today (at least that’s the plan!)

THANKS! You guys rock!

This is very nice! My work is 39% complete…

Thank you!

Thanks for the compliment. The kudos belong to our Development Team – they’re the ones who brought this idea to reality.

After I verified my mailing address it shows 1% yet though I submitted 49 articles up till now since 4th. January “47 articles were approved already.”
I wish you can solve such problems and thanks for these new great features.

Comment provided February 4, 2010 at 4:26 AM

Please be sure your articles meet the minimum word count for this challenge (400 words). If they don’t, they will not qualify.

Michael Parker writes:

Thank you so much for your fast reply, that’s it then as I noticed most of them are less than 400 words excluding the resource box.
Thanks again for your continuous support.

Sam writes:

Just curious to know if there’ll be another HAHD challenge after this one finishes? I’d like to do this one for one of my author names/sites, and then the next (if there is one) for a second.

Comment provided February 4, 2010 at 11:02 AM

I won’t make any promises, but considering the popularity of the #HAHD Challenges I think it’s safe to say there will be more. Good luck with this one!

Sam writes:

Thanks Marc!

I just want to say that the 400 word minimum for this challenge has been good for me. I now spend more time crafting a five paragraph article that has more meat to it, and the difference in quality really shows, at least to me.

What if I have heard only today about the challenge and want to participate? Can I submit 3 articles per day ?

Comment provided February 6, 2010 at 10:55 AM

By all means – many submit 3 articles/day or more to catch up! You can submit 100 articles on the very last day if you so choose. You only need to submit 100 articles within the 100 day window to qualify.

Midge writes:

I have only just heard about the Article Challenge today. Does the counting of the 100 articles start from the sign-up date?

Comment provided February 8, 2010 at 7:05 PM

No, it does not. It starts from January 1st. It doesn’t matter when you enroll – any articles submitted after the start date of the Challenge will count toward your total.

Hi All,

I have submitted 100 articles and 100 % is appeariing in my account , now I want to participate for second time and submit 100 more articles what should I do?

Comment provided February 14, 2010 at 9:36 AM

Simply submit 100 more articles under an alternate author name. You can find out more about alternate authors in this post:

Tehmina Mazher writes:

Is there any method to qualify again by submitting another 100 articles under the same name. As only in that case I can continue to enjoy the benefits of top expert article of various categories (For example diabetes).

Lisa writes:

Currently no or I would have qualified a few times over in each challenge. I prefer to keep all of my writing under the one name, however.

Hi Lisa, this is Edward from Uganda. I have been following up with your coments but it seems you are a very good writter

Lisa is correct, we don’t currently allow members to qualify multiple times under the same author name. That is definitely something we’ll take under consideration for future challenges.

I like the idea of articles at the beach or poolside … hmmmm … maybe call it the 2 Article Weekend Waterside Challenge!

Hi Everybody,

Congratz to all who have completed the challenge. I think I have been able to complete this for at least 1 author (only the approved articles count, right?).

One query here, do I need to send that mail after 1 April?

Congratulations, Mah! No need to send anything. Provided you signed up for the challenge on your Member Home Page, you’re set to go.

Comment provided March 24, 2010 at 4:21 AM

Nothing more to do. Everything is now done automatically.

imran writes:

thank you.

My last 30 articles were submitted after March 10, 2010. It means i can get the MUG prize too without submitting more articles?

Or i need to submit 30 more articles, before April, 10?

Comment provided March 24, 2010 at 8:18 AM

Nope, once again there’s nothing more for you to. If you did indeed submit 30 qualifying articles since 3/10, then you’ve qualified for a cartoon mug!

Congratulations again!

Third challenge is now complete! Wipe the sweat off the brow, take a depth breath, pat yourself on the back.A little slower completion time frame than the second one. Yet, bottom line the goal was achieved. Just one article a day on average really is not all that much if you are truly honest with yourself.

My progress bar was stuck at 53 since sometime on Friday, and never moved beyond that number even though I submitted tons more articles since then. Anyway, when I checked on it after submitting my last article at around midnight last night, it was gone completely!!!
