EzineArticles Search Results on Google

Search both Google and EzineArticles simultaneously!

With the installation of a simple Firefox add-on and an EzineArticles user script, you’ll be able to view search results from the EzineArticles database side-by-side with your other search results.

This easy-to-use tool offers you a great competitive advantage by providing:

  • EzineArticles-specific search results in a familiar format.
  • Immediate access to the broad knowledge base of EzineArticles’ Expert Authors
  • The ability to research niche-specific topics in both the EzineArticles database and on the Internet simultaneously.
  • An effective interface for researching, comparing and contrasting search terms between EzineArticles and the web.
  • Highly focused search results of easy-to-read, editor-approved content.

NOTE: Installing this tool is not for everyone. If you consider yourself technophobic in the least, you might want to skip this one or have a more tech-savvy friend handle it for you. EzineArticles cannot offer support for the Greasemonkey add-on.

On the other hand, if you’re not afraid to dabble a little, spend the next (3) minutes watching this video to discover the easy step-by-step procedure for installing this browser add-on and user script.

Downloadable Versions:
WMV Format     MOV Format     MV4 Format     MP3 Format

If you’re more of a reader than a watcher, here’s the step-by-step process covered in the video:

  1. Go to http://EzineArticles.com/greasemonkey/
  2. Install the Firefox web browser (if needed)
    • Click on “Install Mozilla Firefox”
    • Click on the “Free Download” button
    • Follow the instructions to complete the installation
    • Start Firefox and return to http://EzineArticles.com/greasemonkey/
  3. Click on “Install the Greasemonkey add-on for Firefox”
  4. Click on the “Add to Firefox” button
  5. Click the “Install Now” button in the drop-down window
  6. Once the installation is complete, restart Firefox by clicking on the “Restart Firefox” button in the drop-down window
  7. Return to http://EzineArticles.com/greasemonkey/
  8. Click on the “Install the EzineArticles Search Results on Google” link
  9. Click the “Install” button in the drop-down window
  10. Manually restart Firefox
  11. Perform a Google search to verify proper installation

If you’ve installed everything properly, you should see a list of EzineArticles search results next to our logo near the top of the page. Clicking on any of these links will bring you directly to that article on the EzineArticles website.

Now go put this new tool to good use. Then leave a comment telling us how it worked for you and share your ideas for using it to improve your competitive advantage!

Very smart! This should bring some more traffic to EzineArticles articles. You should really promote this tool more. Did you develop it or is it from a third party?

We made the script ourselves after seeing a similar one that includes Twitter search results within Google results.

Is this using Google “subscribed links”?

Kathleen:

Actually, this is not a strategic partnership — Anyone can create greasemonkey add-on scripts.

Lee:

No, this is not using Subscribed Links…a product that I believe is being “sunset’d”…

This is a greasemonkey add-on script for FireFox browsers only. ie: This won’t work in MSIE, Chrome, Safari, Opera or any browser that isn’t Mozilla FireFox.

Joel,

You may have misunderstood what this is. :-)

It is a script that runs on your browser on your PC.

It’s not a mass search script.

Best way to experience what it is is to try it. You can always uninstall it later if you don’t like it.
