Find Niche Experts on TwitterRate This Post:
Birds of a feather really can flock together! Now, you can login (using your twitter username/password) and speed the following of experts who are also in your niche! (This is one Twitter strategy that helps build a followership of like-minded experts like yourself.) Here Are The (3) Quick Steps To Leverage This Strategy: Step #1) Migrate over to http://twitter.ezinearticles.com and log in using your Twitter username & password. This is located in the left navigation. Step #2) Scroll down until you see the title Filter Options near the bottom of the left-hand navigation window. Below that is the Category button. Clicking on that button reveals a very powerful feature that will open near the top of the page: Filter by Category. Step #3) Clicking on the drop-down menu allows you to select your category of interest and also opens up a drop-down menu for the subcategories within that particular category. By picking a subcategory, you see only the EzineArticles expert authors in that specific niche who currently have their newly approved articles automatically posted to their Twitter profile. Optional: You can change the SORT order by Followers, Authors, Articles or Recent Tweets. The default sort order is by largest number of Articles.
This new tool can help you identify and follow the people in your niche of interest – both colleagues and competitors *without* having to surf each of their twitter profiles one at a time…saving you loads of time. If you haven’t checked it out yet, fly on over to to see what your flock is tweeting about…and then follow your birds of the same feather!

That is fantastic. What a great motivation to continue to post articles to get more exposure from this service. I looked up the investing category and discovered that since you rank from highest number of articles to lowest, that I am up the top on most of my categories. You guys are brilliant. Very Exciting. I love this idea…however, when I tried it, I found that you cannot really “follow” from the sort page. That is, I sorted to get all book reviews members, but then I tried to follow and only one member comes up…then you have to go back to twitter follow the page and follow on the twitter page. Is this what was intended. I got the impression from the layout that I could “follow” directly from the original page…just reporting but I don’t know whether this is an issue or not…In any event, it would be great to be able to follow directly from the list…but I know I always want more than has been provided by the programmers…so not complaining! Oops…I was wrong! What happens is that the individuals are added to the total follower count, but the “last” one you follow comes up…so that’s why I was confused! This is great! Thanks! I really enjoy much more reading twitters from as you same, niche’s I am most interested in! [Reply] Comment provided February 24, 2009 at 10:27 AM

Chris, I’m new to Twitter and trying to work out what it can do for my new business website, it’s been interesting. You’ve now made it easy… being able to connect up with other Ezine Authors, by specific category has certainly fast tracked my efforts. Cheers and Keep Up The Good Work, [Reply] Comment provided February 27, 2009 at 7:59 PM

This has been a great tool and I have the Twitter Update widget on my blog – but my last published article was never tweeted. Just wondering what happened? [Reply] Comment provided March 2, 2009 at 10:55 PM

Gail, From time to time, some tweets are lost. It’s rare, but it does happen. I’ve turned over your account to our dev team to investigate this specific incident. I did look into your acct and it appears to me that you’ve properly setup your twitter acct with us. Sometimes Twitter goes down… Yesterday they had a power outage. Most likely we injected your tweet to them at a time when their service was down or perhaps their service was lagging at the point of injection. We love Twitter, but their uptime;…. well, let’s just say it’s something they are still working on. :) [Reply] Comment provided March 3, 2009 at 3:37 AM

Well, considering my Fluffy is very fluffy, it seemed like the only appropriate name. I think Fluffy is a good name for a cat. I just wonder what the Presidential Dog will be named, I understand it will be a Portuguese Water Dog, that was the breed they picked, I’ll be interested in finding out the dog’s name.
