How To Upload Your Press Release

Did you know you can submit your Press Releases to our sister site (PressExposure.com) via your EzineArticles account?

Here’s a brand new video that walks you through how to submit your 1st Press Release:

Downloadable Versions:

WMV Format MOV Format MV4 Format MP3 Format

It’s FREE and you can also submit w/out an EzineArticles account by going here.

PressExposure.com was started in the Summer of 2006 because so many press releases were being submitted to EzineArticles as if they were articles. Of course we couldn’t accept them at EzineArticles.com; but now PressExposure.com is home to the press releases that are submitted every day by EzineArticles expert authors.

Brilliant little video – very explanatory.

More people should do things this way instead of ‘technicalised’ text written by techies that no-one can understand.

Chris,

That is a really helpful video. I had no idea you offered this service.

Maybe some add-ons would be information on what services the press releases are sent to and maybe some links to articles (hosted you know where) on how to write a good press release.

Other than that – great job! (again)

I really enjoyed the short, straightforward video. I also would appreciate a few helpful hints about what makes a good press release.
I just did my first one 3 days ago, but not with EzineArticles. I didn’t know it was offered until I got your e-mail today. I get great exposure with my EzineArticles. I usually get on the front page of Google within the first day.
Do the press releases work differently?
Thanks again.

All,

Thanks for your suggestion that we should create another video on how to write the perfect press release. Expect that from us in February as I started writing the script today.

Credits where it’s due Trivia: The voice talent in the video is played by Marc (who is also the producer of the tutorial video); our Marketing Manager… and it was co-produced by Jason (Production Coordinator).

If you have tips on how to write a great press release, please share them here also. Thanks!

Norine,

A “Press Release” is an announcement designed to inform the press (media) about a newsworthy story.

I recommend that you do a Google search for:

define:press release

Lastly, see Press Release articles here;

PRESS RELEASE:

“EzineArticles IS A CLASS ACT”

A package was received today by a Ms. Magnusen, sent to her by a very unique ezine called EzineArticles. Ms. Magnusen opened her parcel and was delighted to see a lovely gift inside of two writing tablets. One of the pages was actually hand signed by Mr. Chris Knight himself. Ms. Magnusen was so overwhelmed with the generosity of said company, that she posted on her calender that one article per day was not too big of a goal to meet. (She actually has NO EXCUSE really to not do at least one article per day!)

THANK YOU ALL AT EzineArticles!

Two quick questions:

After checking out various press releases on Press Exposure, I learned some new things. I read one interesting review so checked out their website. The artist, (of course I would pick a fellow artist LOL) had links leading to insights, I had not thought of pursuing and I understood things that had escaped me prior. I keep learning things, bit by bit, from EzineArticles Blog and now Press Exposure.

Now, I must get to that promise to myself… the one where I write an article every day! Yup I do have enough time, cause time is there depending on how I decide to spend it.

Happy day!

(PS ~ “Hi Shirley!”)

I have used this system to submit several press releases to pressexposure.com.

Although it is a nice system allowing free press release distribution, I believe the system needs to be improved.

For one, you are not given any notices if your press releases are pending or denied. I have received an email stating press releases were published, but the others I believe were left in press release limbo.

Secondly, a system similar to the one implemented on EzineArticles.com should be established to view the releases published, those which are under review, and those which have problems that need to be be corrected.

Stats, such as views and URL clicks, could be added down the road, but at least an “account area” would be nice.

All together, thanks for letting us publish press releases for free!

I attended an Alex Mandossian teleseminar just last week on using the media for increased, free exposure. Press releases are an important part of this strategy so I’m thankful for this vid and the upcoming February one.

All help in this area is appreciated and I’ll start using your press release service as soon as I go through the material and get a handle on it.

Thank You!

Greetings and thank you for offering this press release service.

Perhaps I missed the info, but how do we know where the press releases are being released to? How many submissions are made, etc. How does Press Exposures’ contact list compare to PRWeb for instance?

Thank you again!

Comment provided January 28, 2009 at 1:25 PM

Donna,

PressExposure.com is nothing like PRWeb.

PRWeb is better.

With PressExposure, there is no distribution (yet). There is only exposure on the site itself.

It doesn’t get the traffic that EzineArticles does, but it’s growing steadily. Again: We built PressExposure to solve the problem of so many good press releases being submitted to EzineArticles by mistake. Our only purpose here is to help those people get their press releases published in a more appropriate forum.

Nick,

To answer your question:

1) Let’s say NO to HTML being allowed in the body of the press release. That said, if you used BOLD or ITALICS real sparingly, I think we’d let it pass.

We would prefer to see full http:// URL’s in the SIG line but will allow anchored text links provided they don’t exceed 3 words anchored up and no more than 1 self serving anchored text link.

2) There is no status. It’s accepted or it’s not. Sorry, this site doesn’t have a back-end membership center yet. You can expect that if you submit a press release today… if it’s not published within 10 days, it’ll never be published. You are welcome to contact our PressExposure support team to find out why.

Amanda,

See this article of mine on how to format links.
