Just an Author or an Authority?

As I reflect back on the lessons learned, I don’t think I ever anticipated how valuable this blog would be for us in terms of having an ongoing discussion with our members.

In fact, I still feel excited every time a new blog entry is posted. I’ll be leaving the office after posting a new entry and before I’m a few miles away, I’m already on the iPhone checking for blog comments that need moderation or issues forwarded internally to help a member resolve an issue.

I’m not sure which I enjoy more… the writing of a new blog entry or commenting in the discussion about additional or related issues raised by others.

The AskChristopherKnight.com site receives thousands of user/member questions, statements, arguments and mostly friendly “how can I or do I do ______?” I can’t imagine what it would be like if I had to make up the topic of each blog entry without some kind of market-affirming question being asked that is most likely on the minds of more than just that person.

My hopes for the future of this business blog is to engage additional people from our team to lead discussions about important issues in the article writing & marketing world so that we can keep a higher frequency of relevant posts throughout the year. I’m traveling this week and next week on business… makes it very difficult to keep a consistent flow of new ideas and issues worthy of your attention/discussion.

What would you like to see more of in future blog posts?

We hope that you are never so busy that you are not an active part of the blog. It is rare to have access to the thoughts of a corporate CEO. The access we have to you is one of the best parts of EzineArticles.

As you continue to grow we also hope that you never end up like the black hole called Google.

Happy Blog Anniversary! I, too, would be disappointed if you became so busy that you were unable to be the driving force both behind the scenes and in print on this blog. You make it personal.

Thanks for four years of great content.

I too would miss the natural knack and flare you have for keeping authors involved with EzineArticles blogs. I would also understand that as a company expands things change and more questions need to be answered, as well as topics covered.

No one can replace you, but perhaps someone can share in your secret for drawing in the crowds.

You would certainly be missed on these blogs. You are the reason it is still alive and flowing well.

I would like to understand more about this Twitter thing and EzineArticles. I signed up for Twitter in my EzineArticles account, but am not sure what I am supposed to do with it.

There you go, any fortunate EzineArticles Team Member could answer that and I would be involved in the blog.

Good luck Chris and congratulation for a job well done!

Hi Chris!

Happy Anniversary!

Your blog is wonderful! I remember loving it from the first time I saw it! When I received your message inviting me to participate of the discussions here I simply loved it!

This is why I didn’t delay becoming a very active author at EzineArticles.com! You opened my eyes and I understood how much I could do through article writing, while I had only one article here, and I had no intention on writing a second one. I submitted it and forgot it completely!

This blog is more than helpful for beginners!

And you are a very good leader! If you had not sent me an invitation, I would never have discovered your blog by myself!

Yesterday, September the 7th, was Brazil’s Independence Day. However, nobody remembered it!

Perhaps I’m the only Brazilian author here!

Having grown and becoming busy, it still requires to keep in touch with your visitors, well wishers of your site, to be at the place where you are.I also watch that you also personally respond to some of the comments made on the blogs. That is the good sign of a business man to keep yourself abreast of the developments happening around you and remain trendy. You are on your chosen goal and of course on the right track. Many of us have much to learn from you.Thank you.Ramalingam

Happy Bloggiversary.

I remember the old days, when EzineArticles was cute and small and cozy. When you’d do a shout out to Salt ‘n Pepa on your mutual birthdays, and 10 comments on a single blog post meant things were really raging on the ole EzineArticles blog.

I was flabbergasted at the email I received that massaged my “expert author” ego so nicely and could not believe the swiftness that my customer service questions were answered (and there were many of those).

Now you’re big, crazy-big… and as they say in those old cigarette commercials… “You’ve come a long way, baby!”

Thanks for being there to help me grow my copywriting presence on the web.

The EzineArticles Twitter module can automatically syndicate your new articles into your Twitter account so every time we accept a new article submission of yours, it’s automatically updated on your Twitter profile.

Hi Chris,

I have updated my Twitter info in my EzineArticles account and am beginning to get the hang of Twitter. I can see this is going to be fun!

Thanks for the tip.

Now that I saw this message I remembered my account on Twitter! I didn’t like, because I don’t like to keep writing what I’m doing!

It must be useful for some people, though. I liked the idea to have my articles there, but I have no time to care about this matter now.

Thank you for the advice!

Congratulations to Christina Sponias
Brazil was chosen host of the 2014 World Cup (by the FIFA Executive Committee) and Rio de Janeiro is one of the favorites to host the Summer Olympics in 2016 (Rio will compete with Chicago, Tokyo and Madrid). The FIFA World Cup is the most watched event in the world.Brazil will be the “sports capital of the world”. It is an opportunity to unite countries and territories!…
Good luck and success in all your projects
Muito obrigado (many thanks)

Really? I’m so glad! Thank you very much for this information!

I never read anything about sports! But I’m really happy for my country! Brazilians are extraordinary people!

Living so many years far away, I really miss the Brazilian mentality. It is totally different from the European!

I’m in Greece, and I also have Greek roots. However, my heart is Brazilian, and especially my mind. I’m very Brazilian, besides my Greek blood.

On the topic of which countries we’ve been recognizing their Independence Days… have been countries with 500 or more EzineArticles members.

Brazil is represented by 84 members at this time:

Interesting! My name is not in the list, though. Why?

And why do you need to have so many authors in order to remember their independence day? 500 are too many!

Not that I mind. It doesn’t really matter! I’m only asking for curiosity.

Comment provided September 10, 2008 at 1:49 PM

You control which country you’re listed in.

Go into your EzineArticles Account Manager and update your address from what it is now (not Brazil) to Brazil if you want to show up in the Brazil list of countries.

Hint: You’re found in this list:

Thank you, Chris!

I don’t mind be included in the Greek list! I have two nationalities. But since I’m more Brazilian than Greek, I will change my country at my account. September the 7th is a sacred date for me, since I was a child!

Comment provided September 10, 2008 at 3:28 PM

I cannot change my location, because I’m not in Brazil, so I better remain in the Greek group! Greece is my country too.
