On a daily basis prior to the QC internal process change we just spent the last 2 weeks making, between 1,000-1,500 were soft-rejected and put into one of 90 different problem article statuses that generated a custom email to the member to inform them of the issue to fix so we could accept their article.

Yesterday, we brought that number down from ~1200-1500 to 458 articles soft-rejected. Yes, that means we are catching 500-700 mistakes daily BEFORE they reach & touch our authors.

Listen in on a ~9 minute audio discussion between myself and our Managing Editor, Penny.

Go easy on Penny as this was her 1st audio recording ever. Substance before delivery. :)

Penny is a jewelled asset to ezine articles. Give her a huge raise for her honesty and fix-it attitude.

Thanks for keeping us informed and letting us look behind the curtain of Ezine articles, very informative. Keep it coming. That’s one of the many things that sets you apart from the rest.

Thanks for continuing to push the envelope and raise the bar for article directories.

-Continued Success!

EXCELLENT audio introduction to Penny and your behind-the-scenes feedback on how your policy changes affect author experience.

Cutting that feedback loop so that authors only have to fix problems once instead of getting into a double-triple refixing is great, for example and hearing the conversation made that change more real.

Penny sounded very committed to elevating the author experience. Keep the audios coming because they personalise our experience here on the blog even more and that impacts our feeling of being ‘home’ when writing articles for EA.

Thank you Chris and Penny and the rest of the EA team.

The dealy works!! Last night, I cooked a pot of mashed potatoes that were so good that I wanted to share the experience on cooking tips with other mashed potato lovers.
Lo & Behold!! The dealy sent my article back in draft form. I swear that I don’t remember writing about mashed potatoes. If I have then my apologies. Can’t argue with the dealy.
Anyway, a point for the dealy and a loss for me.
