1 Millionth Human Reviewed Article AcceptedRate This Post:
Even though EzineArticles.com was launched November of 1999, the current site was rebuilt from the ground up on August 4th, 2004. That means it took us 3 years and 10 months to manually review and accept the first million articles. Many will ask, so I wanted to also address that yes, we did reject 231,787 articles that didn’t meet our editorial guidelines or about 23.2% (1 in 5) articles submitted is not accepted… the rejection percentage has doubled over the last 2 years. Interesting thing about EzineArticle’s growth story is that we don’t have skyrocket growth rates (ie: we’re not adding millions of new members per month), but rather a calm predictable 100%+ per year growth rate. If you’re part of this growth rate, thanks for being one of our charter members for the first million articles! What we liked about your articles Trina:

Congrats Trina on being the millionth article author. I know how hard we work on our articles, so keep up the good work. Remember it was Thomas Edison (thefather of modern electronics) who said success is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration. It’s funny, people say if you succeed you’re only lucky…so it seems the harder… I work the luckier I get. Congrats again Trina and Ezine. -Dr. Cubie [Reply] Comment provided June 11, 2008 at 11:42 AM

What an accomplishment! Nicely done. More than that though, I wanted to let you know I have come to look forward to the Newsletter. They seem to get better and better. The articles are well-written and timely. You are doing a terrific job and I appreciate it. Up until now I have been in the lurking mode. Soon though, I’ll be taking what I have learned from reading the newsletter and blog and seeing what I can accomplish here with my new knowledge. Please keep up the good work. Congratulations Trina – wow you hit the jackpot! Christopher a few months ago I was on a call where you were interviewed by a small business coach and soon after I began submitting articles to your site. Your EzineArticles site is easy to navigate, the account set up is effortless to manage, your newsletter tips are insightful and the results have been great. Many thanks! As I was reading this an idea occured. To boost article submissions, why not give away one or both of your ebooks for authors who submit their 100th article or something like that. You’ve probably thought of this already but it might be a good incentive. [Reply] Comment provided June 11, 2008 at 12:45 PM

Hi Chris, Congratulations on hitting the million landmark. Just to add some incentive to posting to your blog–I was checking my traffic facts for my website today. I get almost as many click throughs from the blog posts on your blog as from my articles. I am working on getting more click throughs on my articles. And it is my goal by Aug1 to hit the 100 article mark. I will ask for a drum role from the group when I reach my goal. Thanks for this site and all the great input from the ezine blog community. I get great tips from all of you–including you Chris. I enjoy your blog and following you on Twitter. [Reply] Comment provided June 11, 2008 at 6:08 PM

Congratulations to you and the folks at ezinearticles.com, Chris! It’s a great honor for my work to be recognized in this way. This site offers professionals like myself an amazing opportunity to write about the things we are passionate about, and share our knowledge with people everywhere. It’s humbling to be a part of a group so eager and willing to support others in their quest for personal and professional. This is a wonderful resource of which I am very proud to be a part! All the best! Trina [Reply] Comment provided June 12, 2008 at 6:20 AM

Rick, Motos? I have many. One of my favorite (and one that I’m sure annoys competitors and those who fear innovation) is this: C Constant And Never-ending Improvement. This is an American version of the Japanese concept of “Kaizen”… which means continuous improvement. – What does Trina get for submitting the 1 millionth article? (besides a 10x jump in instant traffic to her article) She’ll get a free pass to Platinum status (she earned it based on her content & profile and was only 1 article away from getting Platinum level anyway) and we’ll send her the first EzineArticles member appreciation mug & mouse pads that have ever been sent to an EzineArticles expert author in Germany. Hello Chris and fellow EzineArticles authors, I just wanted to let everyone know that I received my mugs and mousepad in the mail today. As it got caught up in customs here in Germany, I had to go pick it up. Receiving the package as congratulations for writing the one millionth articles was quite a nice story to tell the customs official when he asked about the contents! Once again, thanks to EzineArticles and to all the authors who dropped by to congratulate me here and/or had a look at my articles! [Reply] Comment provided June 27, 2008 at 11:23 AM
