Before you write new book-review articles:
–>Please read this blog entry from a year ago.

  • We will not accept book reviews by the author of the book, themselves.
  • We will not accept book reviews written by 3rd parties and submitted by the author of the book that is being reviewed.
  • We will also not accept nasty book reviews that are designed to save a consumer from buying the book or seek to destroy or dilute the credibility of the author of the book. Those are better left for your blog and not in a syndicatable article.
  • We will accept book reviews that mentions a negative or who the book might not be for, provided that’s not the theme of the book review. If you hated the book, we prefer to not see your book review here.
  • Help us out by only reviewing real books or real ebooks. We must be able to find a copy for sale of the book or ebook being reviewed.
  • Sorry, we don’t provide book reviews for your book. Best way to get them if you are an author is to ask your clients or give away copies to influential people and ask for a review.

We hope the above tips will help you zero in on producing future book-review articles that we’re able to review & accept more quickly.

If you have existing articles in other categories that should be moved to the new categories… we are in the process of doing this for you. Nothing for you to do as we’ll handle the move in whatever way we think it will best serve your articles.

You’re welcome to make suggestions in the forums under this thread for new categories you’d like to see the next time we expand our categories list (late 2008). All together, we’re now serving 564 different niche audiences.

Here’s your invitation to submit articles you have for any of the above new categories. If you’re a book review expert, we’ve got a content-hungry audience waiting to read your quality original articles in exchange for pre-qualified traffic being sent to your website. The article body is where you GIVE; the resource box below the article body is where you TAKE (pitch your website).

PERFECT – Excellent – Exciting. WOW – this is awesome, as I am in the process of moving and have some 3500 books left, down from 5000, that I have been either giving away or re-reviewing and writing quick book summaries and reviews for. So, now I can take all these books on my shelves, -re-read or scan them and then write book reviews before I donate them. I am very happy about these new categories.

I do have a question? About how long until you finish the migration of book reviews into the new categories, as I have so many that fit into those new categories already. Oh, and I noted Science Fiction Fantasy Horror, and I know that is a huge public interest especially considering the programming of the Sci Fi Channel on DirectTV, but, you know regular Sci Fi needs to be a category too.

Let’s not forget the late Arthur C. Clarke who has just past on. As a tribute to him, and all the other great Sci Fi authors who have come before him like Isaac Asimov and Jules Vern. – Lance

Would this include audio books? You mention books and ebooks but not audio books.

Isn’t almost every audio book available via a paper or ebook format also?

I see that producing audio books is your business.

If we get sufficient demand from our members, we’ll consider adding an audio-book review category.

Hello Christopher,

I think I need to clarify my question. Since audio books are a version of a book could you write a review and put it in these new categories since this breakdown is so helpful. I asked because you did not mention them when you discussed the category.

For now, we’ll accept AUDIO BOOK REVIEWS in any of the BOOK-REVIEW categories above.

Just got done with a short story and bought a book on Dance, so within a day or two, I will have finally filled those categories with at least one article in each book review grouping. Wow, that was the ultimate challenge, my eyes are tired from so much reading and writing, but, I hope folks enjoy my book review articles?

I do most of my reading these days through Audio books.

I love to read, but just do not have the time. Besides I find there are many benefits to Audio books. I will save them for an article! :)

Thanks Chris for allowing us to submit Audio Book reviews.

BTW, for some books I do have both Audio and Paper. Will write about reason for that as well in an article! :)
