10 Referrals A DayRate This Post:
“…and according to my website and blog stat reports, eZine[Articles] refers about 10 visitors a day. Not a bad way to get traffic.” 10 referrals a day may not be very sexy, but it becomes 300 per month / 3,600 per year…and will most likely continue for many more years to come. Not bad from 40+ articles.

I have just started article writing this month and already ezinearticles is one of the top three traffic generators for my site. I believe that as my articles become more polished and my content becomes even more powerful that the numbers will go up consistently. [Reply] Comment provided April 17, 2008 at 12:59 PM

I had just posted this question this very moment to a networking group I belonged to – which is the best place to submit articles to and get traffic to your website. So I am very glad to read this. Serendipity? I have been holding an article on women traveling abroad to import merchandise and will submit it to EzineArticles. Thank you for this helpful post. And congrats to everyone on their results! [Reply] Comment provided April 17, 2008 at 4:21 PM

Well Suzanne is correct of course and one only has to take a peak at my statistics here to know that the more quality articles you post regularly, the more targeted traffic you will get daily, monthly and annually. Most all of my traffic comes from EzineArticles, their affiliates and Ezine Editors which use the articles from here. And luckily, due to all the back-links apparently, now I am up so high in the search engines that, I am almost getting equal traffic from there too. Check it out yourself; type in; “online think tank” and there we are. And I hate to admit it but all those dastardly content-thieves are also driving traffic to me. And I think the reason is simple; its because their blogs and websites suck so bad, that the duped Internet Surfer will do anything to find a good way out, so they either click on the link or if it is an “non-linked” url, they cut and paste and find me anyway. So, to hell with the content thieves but thanks too, you dastardly deeded culprits. On a positive note, I am very happy to see Suzanne confirm, what I have learned the hard way thru trial and error, she is very wise to see the incredible synergy of EzineArticles, with only 40 articles and since her articles are so great, read them, they are quite good, I think that quality is helping her a lot. Great job Suzanne, also I did very much enjoy reading thru your blog today. – Lance [Reply] Comment provided April 17, 2008 at 7:18 PM

Ashlee, Article writing & marketing is all about pre-qualified lead generation… traffic attraction. It is not about making money directly… but indirectly: [Reply] Comment provided April 18, 2008 at 10:22 AM

Ashlee, I went to your blog site and see that you have it well monetized with affiliate links throughtout. This is where the money is made. As you write articles rich with good content you begin to be seen as a expert in your field. When people search for an expert on the subject of weddings and your articles appear at the top of the search engines you will get more traffic. As that traffic count increases and as people become confident in your understanding of wedding planning, they will feel confident to purchase those things that you recommend. That thought in mind, I do want to caution you that you need to be careful about who you become an affiliate for. You will quickly loose your customers confidence by linking to “not so good” affiliate programs faster than you will win them with good programs. So … keep writing and watch your sales go up! You are right Jim, it’s all about the quality of the articles you write, not their number. For example, you might have 10 articles for the same topic submitted at EzineArticles , and only 1 gets the most traffic. John [Reply] Comment provided April 18, 2008 at 10:58 AM

I like the idea of articles driving traffic to specific websites, and I can confirm that I also recieve regular traffic from a few specialized articles, and that’s why I will do more articles related to all of my niche markets. Thanks for ezine articles.com!! [Reply] Comment provided April 18, 2008 at 2:44 PM

To be frank, I like your article. My advice: Firstly, a new biography (Suzannes’s favorites). More information about yourself. You are a “Super-womanâ€Â: mother, writer, businesswoman and researcher. I think that biography is very important (there are more than 94,000 authors from 150 countries/dependencies). Secondly, perseverance and hard work to achieve your goals. I recommend research in foreign languages (my articles have “Spanish, French and American origin†). Finally, congratulations for your book and for your children. Thanks for mentioning my post! Thank you all so much for your kind comments. I genuinely enjoy writing articles and sharing “how-to” information with other entrepreneurs. I hope that my experiences, research, and advice will help others move faster along the learning curve. Content is very important as your readers will know if you are insincere and just writing articles for clicks. If your article is not helpful and informative, your readers probably won’t click your links to see what else you have to offer. On the other hand as Dave mentioned, if you appear knowledgeable, professional, and genuine, readers will come back for more information from you whether it is from eZine Articles or your own website or blog. I agree with Lance, “content theives” are a great help in making our articles viral. We have to remember that not everyone can write original material – maybe they don’t have the time, skills, or inclination to do so. That is what eZine Articles is all about – providing quality content for blogs, newsletters, and ezines. As long as I am given proper credit, I am all about sharing! One note for authors: Set up an account on Google Alerts for the author name you use here at eZine Articles. You will be notified when your name appears on new blog posts or websites. Google Alerts is a great way to see who is using your articles. Once you figure out who is using your articles, you can network directly with those people and discover all kinds of opportunities to promote yourself or earn money. (Examples – guest blog posts with links back to your sites, paid blogging positions, content writing, invitations to private groups or forums for networking, etc.) Blessings to all! Ezine article writing brings traffic to your website, but the interesting thing is that the articles I thought would bring my sites traffic weren’t really the ones that did. I was pleasantly surprised to see which ones did bring traffic. It seems to me that the more practical and useful information you write about, the more traffic you send. Ezines is definately a great place to drive traffic to your website.
With the ability that you have provided us to look at which articles are sending us traffic to our site I have noticed something rather interesting the more traffic an articl gets to your site the less traffic that it drives to mine.
It might be because my niche is geared towards less than half the population and the articles that do get the most traffic seem to be more generic in terms of who I am targeting.
I would write someo more articles geared towards everyone but that isnt my goal right now in terms of writing so figured I might as well post this on the blog and see if anyone else has noticed similar results or completely different.
