Contest Winner- Brandi Cummings

This was an extremely difficult contest to judge as almost every single entry (over 70 of them) was a winner.

I had our Editorial Team Leader select two editors to do the honor of choosing a winner: Editor #13 (female) and Editor #15 (male). They were given the task to choose a winner that exemplifies an ideal EzineArticles expert author.

The winner of an iPod Shuffle is: EzineArticles Expert Author Brandi Cummings [USA]

Reason why Brandi chose her selected article:

This article did not get 2000 views or get published 1000 times. What it did do was resonate with 25% of the people that read it. And since my goal is to have people read my articles, learn from them, and click through to my sites for more information, I would call this a successful article.”

Reason why our editors choose Brandi to be our contest winner:

Her selected article wasn’t the best ideal article when compared to other contest entries, but she did meet the requirements of an ideal author having her author photo uploaded and Brandi submits original content. What tipped the scales in her favor was the thought she put into her entry and her follow up blog entry (Article Marketing: What Is Success?) – We admit it… We like it when our members blog positively about Seth would say, “The truism of the web: people talking about you is far more effective than talking about yourself.”

Honorable mentions go to:

First Runner Up: EzineArticles Expert Author Jeanette Joy Fisher [USA]

Jeanette’s article (A Beginner’s Guide to Flipping Houses) received over 233,369 views since it was first published on EzineArticles in October of 2004 – lead to the producer of TLC’s “Flip That House” to feature her in their TV show because she was found all over the Internet for “flipping houses,” so she must be the expert.

Second Runner Up: EzineArticles Expert Author Clayton Shold [Canada]

Clayton said, “ enjoyed over one million page views in it’s first year thanks in part to the hundreds of links from EzineArticles.” Wow! We are glad to feature a quality original article writer such as yourself and your author professional photo is excellent!

Third Runner Up: EzineArticles Expert Author Danick Buskermolen [Australia]

We liked Danick because of her excitement for having received over 500 views to her article (The Anatomy Of An Upset) – in a day and time when large scale members are touting tens, hundreds of thousands and millions of article views, it’s good to see the newbie excitement over small successes that lead to bigger successes. We wished Danick had her author photo uploaded… Hint Hint. :)

Wow, I’m absolutely thrilled to me a runner up. I guess that air brushing I had done on my photo to insert the gray hair really paid off!

Seriously though, I really like EzineArticles because of the quality authors, variety of topics, and exposure one receives. Your success suggests many others share my sentiments. To everyone contributing to, and managing EzineArticles I wish you a great 08!

Congratulations, Everyone!

Thank you all for the inspiration. I haven’t read an article on EzineArticles where I haven’t learned something.

And, Clayton…if you could send your airbrusher to me, I’ll think about getting a pic uploaded!

Joy to all!

Hi Chris! This was nice!
Congratulations to the winners!

An article has to fulfil many requirements in order to be considered an ideal article, as well as an author has to be really qualified to be considered an ideal one.

Of course I didn’t expect to be a winner because 2007 was my first year in article writing, but next year I want to really be one of the best authors.
I’m going to read carefully the winners’ articles and follow their example.

I liked very much Danick Buskermolen’s article. It was Very Good!

Great job to all! Although I have not submitted a lot of articles to EzineArticles I too have found it a great value in terms of visibility. I have had people contact me from around the world who wish to republish articles I have written.

It’s an invaluable way to build credibility.

In addition, when I am looking for new content for my women’s magazine, I often look to EzineArticles first to find new information and writers whom I can contact to do the same.

Many thanks to all for all your efforts.
