Angela,

Thanks for the kudos, I love EzineArticles.com and in fact, I tell people about this great site all the time, whether they are writers or just folks who love life and love to learn. I can tell you this much today I told three people about EzineArticles at Starbucks today. All are going to check it out and 2 were readers who will read articles, tell friends and if they are smart they will take my advice and subscribe to the email article alerts on their favorite topics, as EzineArticles has something for Everybody!

"Everyone should, a life time of learning, sure beats losing your mind due to lack of use."

Couldn't agree more. I JUST started using email alerts for new articles and LOVE it!

I had an article listed in a US Patent. I have had articles referenced in "research papers" and have been called by NOVA TV Series, Discovery Military Channel and 3 Science Magazines. I get emails 2-3 every single day to discuss subject of my articles.

WikiPedia ought to seriously consider the value of information here, by some incredible authors. I enjoy reading articles here everyday in various categories thru email alerts and browsing the new articles. Everyone should, a life time of learning, sure beats losing your mind due to lack of use.

Hi Chris,

My bio was created on wikipedia based on my Ezine Articles by a British user who is unknown to me and later reshaped by other users like this shape.

http://encyclopedia.thefreedictionary.com/Rajkumar+Kanagasingam

Later on I became a wikipedian and had some dispute over sensitive issues and my bio went for deletion and the result was "Keep" and later on my opponents gathered more votes secretly and nominated my bio for deletion and the result was "Delete".

The worst part is, if you have got your Bio on wikipedia, you become a wikipedian.

The link I have attached is the version at one point before my bio got deleted how it appeared on wikipedia, and copied by the "thefreedictionary".

You can see there the Ezine Articles link was kept.

But still some wikipedia users consider "Ezine Articles" under spam category. That doesn't mean that they are right. There are no rules that Ezine Articles are spam on wikipedia.

Even the North Dakota State University Library is keeping one of my Ezine Articles under their collection.

All depend on particular individuals' Point Of View and nothing else.

It means a very small handful of people (possible it was our own members) have abused the spirit of Wikipedia. This is something we're working on untangling to identify the wrong doers, prove that they were acting without our consent and get our credibility back on the right foot.

Hi Chris!

There is an EzineArticles’ black list in Wikipedia.
What does it mean?

Cheers again to Chris and thanks.

In an EA article I wrote recently—
The Public Citizen as Journalist - Who's Literate, Who's Not,
I cited Wikipedia as a place to go with caution. I said that "Wikipedia can be and frequently is easily tampered with by anyone that chooses to do so." The search engines are a valuable tool but their accountability ends there. They take you where you want to go; the rest is up to you. In the Internet world of citizen writer, it’s the writer’s responsibility to be objective as a pro, to discern between the literate and the unqualified, as much as it behooves the reader to differentiate between the educated blogger and the uninformed blabbermouth.

Users of Wikipedia and other popular resources for research should proceed with caution and do not accept everything you read on these sites. Check and double check.
