August Email Alerts Report

One of the ways we drive targeted traffic back to your new article submissions every day is via our permission-based email alerts.

Last month we delivered 1.3 million (29.4% growth) permission-based emails to 61,037 subscribers (10.6% growth) who asked to be notified when new articles were approved in any of our 407 niche categories.

Here are some interesting tidbits from last months email performance:

Category with the most members that didn’t receive any email alerts last month was Teleseminars with 212 members. What? Doesn’t Alex Mandossian have any competitors? :)

Other categories that had no email alerts last month (and thus no new article submissions accepted) included Olympics, Rodeo, Figure Skating, Racquetball, and Foundation (Home Improvement).

Top 3 Categories with the highest monthly deliveries and the highest unique member counts included Self-Improvement:Positive Attitude (596 members), Self-Improvement:Success (545 members), and Self-Improvement:Motivation (502 members).

The Home-Improvement categories (recently launched earlier this Summer) had the highest percentage monthly list growth with almost every list growing over 30%!!! wow…

Get this: NO list had negative list growth…meaning, no list lost members or lost more members than it gained.

Only 3 categories had neutral list growth: Podcasting, Legal:Trademarks and Pets:Exotic.

Thanks Chris:

So that’s why my URL clicks drop off when I take a holiday from posting.

This is a very timely blog entry because that’s exactly what has happened recently and I was wondering exactly why.

I like your Blog – it has a lot of good info.
