Hi Chris!

Very good suggestion!
I use metaphors on literature a lot, but I never thought they could be used also in articles. I’m learning with you and your friends! It’s nice to write articles; I think it depends also on the subject we write about. Some subjects don’t give you space for metaphors and you can’t develop them too much.

Best regards,

Christina

Hi Lance!

A metaphor is a word derived from the Greek language that means transportation. When you make a metaphor you ‚¬“transport‚¬ the individuals that practice an action in your sentence. You can personalize objects giving them life, you can make animals talk, whatever you wish. We use metaphors in order to illustrate what we say.

Best regards,

Christina

Thank you for that and yes now I understand this concept, I looked up some examples on the Internet and I actually do this already, so I am very happy camper.

David,

I’ve always wanted to visit the blue lagoon in Fiji where they shot the 1980s movie.

Ohhhh wait, you’re using a metaphor…very clever.

:)
