Give Search A Try Again

We’ve been innovating with our internal search engine and found a way to enhance the speed of the EzineArticles internal search engine found in the left navigation. Please give it a try and let us know what you think of the results or how you’d like to see the results changed enhanced further?

Give the search box in the left navigation a try:

In addition, we updated the browser search engine that allows you to search EzineArticles.com from your FireFox v2 or IE7 browser. [CLICK HERE FOR A QUICK TUTORIAL ON HOW TO SET IT UP]

Excellent work!

After your innovations, search was so fast I thought it was broken! I kept doing it over and over, saying “No! Search Titles, not Google Search!”

Thanks for not resting on your laurels.

Thanks Art!

The Google search on the top header of EzineArticles is fast, but it’s also less accurate than our direct internal search.

I think this is the first time since 2004 that our internal search is as fast as the Google search.

Ultimately, this most recent innovation is only a stop-gap until we can afford to do something different all together as we’ve discovered that delivering a highly useful search experience requires quite an investment in servers, software and labor to get it right. [ie: it’s more difficult than we thought initially]

Awesome News! We are in the process of speeding up the searches on our directory as well. Its quite a procedure – but we think that it can be done…

I’m amazed at how fast your search results show up though – thats just powerful!

Much Better, I must admit that I use EzineArticles.com for a secondary purpose of backing up and storing my articles in case I wish to find them later and thus email the link to someone in order to answer a question that comes in.
