In the last 10 days, the search engines started including RSS feeds in their regular search results. At first, I was upset because I thought how foolish the search engines are to deliver a code-looking XML file to a mass consumer user who clicks on a search result only to find XML code garbage. It was then that I discovered that I was the foolish one. Check out the RSS paradigm-shift innovation we made this week with our XML Files:

In a recent teleclass, EzineArticles expert author Jeanette Joy Fisher mentioned to me that she often will barter her article writing skills for services or products she needs. I thought, cool…! how creative. :-)

Writing Articles in Your Sleep

Expert author Dorothy writes, “OH my gosh! This is getting serious. I am now writing great articles in my sleep–Really! I woke up at 3:30 a.m. with an entire article written. I am typing as fast as I can to get it on paper.”

This is by far the easiest way to get into ‘flow’ when writing articles. When you figure out what you want to write about, just start thinking about it a few days in advance and let the article write itself. It’s rare when I sit down to write an article that I haven’t already written it in my head… Most authors must do the same thing whether they realize it or not, eh? :-)

EzineArticles meets the X-Men?

The movie series, X-Men, the audience gets behind the mutants rights to survive… the human mutants with special skills are the underdogs against the norms of society (including those who fear them and their mutant powers).

Every day, someone asks us to add a feature that would make us look like a mutant…meaning, it would be a feature we could add, but then it would transform us into something we are not. Example: We could add audio to our articles, but then are we an article directory designed for niche-perfect reprints or are we an content destination site for end users only?

Article Title Mis-Spellings

Rate This Post: 1 Stars2 Stars3 Stars4 Stars5 Stars

A handful of authors purposefully mis-spell their article TITLEs with the hopes of gaining traffic from humans who commonly mis-spell the title when they are searching for things. Our position has been that we do not allow article TITLEs that are not spelled right as a matter of quality control. (Continue Reading…)

Article Comments Kick

Rate This Post: 1 Stars2 Stars3 Stars4 Stars5 Stars

Earlier this week, I mentioned how you can get more traffic via one-way links by adding comments to any of the more than 100k+ articles in our site. You may have been one of the several hundred this past week that added a comment to an article to test our new system that makes it easier to add a comment.

What we didn’t count on is some of the confusion when an author doesn’t like one of the comments placed on their article. Currently, only our editorial team can approve, reject or remove comments… but that will be changing shortly as we’re working on giving each author the ability to remove any comment at any time that they don’t like.
