Blog Stats

Did I mention that I love WordPress yet? Check out the aggregate blog stats from a new stats plugin that our dev team adapted today. One of the cool features is the ability to view all of the comments left by the over 600 unique commentors to this blog project.

Like the stats feature. I almost suggested you display them a couple of times over the last few weeks. I was really wondering if it was being viewed any more than the comments suggested. The most viewed stats did not make sense to me, especially when the stat page says 5 for this post and the post says 12. I assume we will have access to these aggregate stats from now on. I have a feeling the average view and comment numbers will be rising now, just like author stat averages do. I love when I get something I want without asking. :-)

Yes, it’s our intention to always show the blog stats publicly.

Combined with the new blog post rating system, this should help us figure out which hot button topics deserve more time on the blog and which ones could be left off.

There are a few things in the blog stats that don’t make sense to me either, and our dev team will find a way to make everything either make sense or remove the components next week.
