Watching Your Fav. Authors

Do you have a favorite expert author that you like to watch? You can now subscribe to their RSS feed via your Google or your My.Yahoo personalized home page (or any web aggregator of RSS feeds for that matter)

Here’s how to do it:

1) Identify the author on our site that you want to subscribe to their unique RSS feed. Click on the authors name so you are viewing their expert author view, such as this page: Christopher Knight

2) Notice where the little RSS feedicon is? It looks like this: I'm an RSS Feedicon

3) Hover your mouse over that red feedicon button and you’ll receive this:
What you get when you hover over the red RSS feedicon

4) You can now either retrieve the raw XML code from the orange RSS button or you can more easily click on the ADD TO GOOGLE or ADD TO MY YAHOO or any one of the other buttons we’ve made available for you.

Here’s an example of what it looks like in My.Yahoo and the Google personalized home page:

My.Yahoo example:
Track Your Favorite Author via Your My.Yahoo Page
(Notice I’m also tracking my blog and the “Branding” category of EzineArticles, just one of my favorites to learn from.)

Google Personalized Home Page example:
Google's Personalized Home Pages Rock Too!

Can you begin to see the possibilities?

Great addition. I’m sure it will become one of my favorite investigative, and/or ego toys. Any plans to make it so we can follow a category or just the latest additions via RSS?

PS -I’m just noticing your picture on the blog too, nice touch.

Hi Christopher!

This is truly an awesome feature! I’m going to let all my publishers know :)

What an outstanding way to add good, solid content.

You can already follow each category as we have an RSS feed for every single category that shows the latest articles.
