RSS vs. BLOGGINGRate This Post: The market has spoken and told us that BLOGGING and RSS articles should not be included in the same category any more as they are too unrelated from each other enough to each deserve their own category. Today, we agree. Therefore, the old BLOGGING-RSS category has been separated into separate categories for BLOGGING only and RSS only. In addition, this also means that those who were subscribed to the BLOGGING-RSS category via RSS will now need to re-subscribe to one or both of the new RSS feeds for the Blogging RSS feed or the RSS RSS feed. *whew*, sounds confusing I bet if you don’t use an RSS reader yet. :) Did I mention that I love RSS?
Top 7 Reasons EzineArticles.com Accounts Go Bye-ByeRate This Post: Since Sept 25th, 2005, 525 Author Accounts have been removed from EzineArticles.com. Here are the Top 7 reasons why accounts have been removed without warning, in no particular order (the names have been changed to protect the innocent). All of these could have been avoided if the person had simply read our Editorial Guidelines before creating an account or sending in their submissions (hint, hint).
4 Engine PlanesRate This Post: A decade or more ago, aviation folks were studying whether it was safer to fly with 2 engines or 4 on a plane. The thinking was that 4 engines were better than 2 because then you could lose 75% of your power and still fly or land safely. Years later, they learned a valuable lesson: 4 engines are twice as likely to break than 2 engines… meaning, if you have 4 engines instead of 2, you just increased the number of engines that can fail. Today, it’s widely known that 2 engine planes are safer than 4 engine planes because there are 2 less engines to break, right? How does this relate to EzineArticles.com you ask?

Jamaican AuthorsRate This Post: This week, we’re honoring Jamaican authors because I’m visiting their fine country in search of something we don’t have much in Wisconsin during Winter: Sunshine & 80′F degree temps. It’s been at least 4 years since my last visit to Jamaica ‘mon and I’m hoping to see an improvement in the availability of Internet access. Within EzineArticles.com, 5 authors represent the island country of Jamaica with the bulk majority of submissions coming from 2 Jamaican authors, Radhika Venkata and Nicholas Dixon. It’s too bad that I’m not a beer lover, as Jamaica is famous for their Red Stripe beer…and friendly hospitality. I love the songs they sing when they meet you in the airport (some Bob Marley reggae tune)… :)
Quantify QualityRate This Post: Quality vs. Quantity Article Debate: Over the past year, I’ve been encouraging you to increase or double your article inventory. It seems like every time that I discuss QUANTITY, someone will blast back at me and say, yeah, quantity is nice… but QUALITY will suffer, right? While the definition of QUALITY is somewhat subjective when it comes to reviewing articles, I really believe it is possible to quantify quality.
Big RevealRate This Post: Perhaps I have been watching all of those *before and after* reality shows, but it wasn’t until this week that we all got a chance to see what expert & prolific author Lance Winslow looks like: With 3,434 articles under his name (anyone else notice the pattern of how his number of articles always lands on some number that could be a pattern or reason?), Lance is clearly the pace setter and he’s closing in on his first million page views for his articles. Nice Job!

ePubPros launchesRate This Post: Howdy and Happy New Year! I’m launching a private discussion list on Tuesday called There are over 700 members on the list as we were previously a public discussion list known as EPUB since 1999 with mostly email newsletter discussion topics…that I’m converting to a new private list for intermediate to advanced level entrepreneurs only and expanding the topics to include web publishing/management/etc. The list will be closed to new members for a few weeks as the list transitions from public to private along with a pruning of members who don’t want or need a high volume unmoderated discussion list as part of their business or networking strategy. I’ll sneak invites out after the dust settles on the re-launch and repurposing of the ePub list to the new ePubPros format. Details: http://ePubPros.ChrisKnight.com/ Update: Unlike some of the private mentorship programs or forums for newbies and beginners, ePubPros is strictly for advanced level netpreneurs.
