Distribution SecretRate This Post: A common question that we’re asked is something like, “How can we build up a list of sources that will accept or want our articles?” Here’s an obvious secret that costs nothing to leverage: Identify 3 worthy competitors from your niche. Do some exact match Google, Yahoo or MSN searches on the article titles of your competitors and notice where they are getting picked up — paying particular attention to the websites that are highly related to the topic of your articles. Make your list. This article syndication reverse engineering strategy is excellent for identifying the 2nd tier of sites that want niche content and while these sites often can’t deliver the traffic volume that large sites like ours can produce, they are immensely valuable because of the related nature of the backlinks.

100,000th ArticleRate This Post: Someone within the next 2 days will be sending in the 100,000th accepted article. Will it be yours? At any given time, there are about 450-700 articles in the queue not approved yet. Combined with what’s currently approved as of this post, that means we’re 1157 articles away from the 100,000 mark. Thanks for being part of making history with us. :-)
Knight in Orlando for NEPARate This Post: I’m heading to Orlando Wednesday to speak at the Newsletter & Electronic Publishing Association (NEPA) event: “E-Marketing & E-Publishing: Today’s Knowledge … Tomorrow’s Revenue” I’ll be speaking Thursday about how to grow an email newsletter list that converts into cash. Most of the audience are print newsletter publishers and I represent the ezine component that they all have…but perhaps do not leverage to the full potential.
Article PartsRate This Post:
An article rant: We are not “article parts friendly”. Never were. Frankly, this site is not the right type of site to submit articles in “parts” so please consider not sending in articles in parts…but rather, send in multiple short articles that can stand alone. We have no mechanisms in place to help associate articles that are done in parts…and this is on purpose.
