October EzineArticles Zeitgeist

Zeitgeist is a German term meaning “spirit of the time” and it refers to the moral and/or intellectual trends of a given era or time period.

We’re working on creating our own Zeitgeist time capsule so that you can see what folks were interested in during various time frames of our existence together.

For October 2005 Month To Date, here is the EzineArticles Zeitgeist:

hurricane wilma
hurricane stan
hurricane alpha
halloween contacts
ingrown hair
hurricane vince
ingrown hairs
flipping houses
best halloween costumes
creative halloween costumes
halloween contact lenses

Did you ever consider that some ingrown hair marketer out there may have technologically manipulated your search system in some way? I mean really, how many internet marketers are driven to distraction by the thought of ingrown hairs, feverishly typing searches onto EzineArticles.com for a solution to this plaguing problem?

Hey, I could be wrong. But it IS a little strange…

Dina,

This Zeitgeist list is reflective on what the major search engines are sending us traffic for and has more to do with what the search engines ranked and found of interest among their users.

It has nothing to do with anyone manipulating our system or the search engines. Some articles rank better than others and while I have noticed patterns, you just never really know when you’re going to strike traffic gold while other articles get left in the dust in ‘no index land’.

I’ll work on getting a Zeitgeist listing of which searches are most popular on our site overall based on humans who are already on EzineArticles.com using our search engine. I think that would give you a little more happiness in results. :-)

Incidentally, prom hair styles are of greater interest than ingrown pubic hairs: http://www.EzineArticles.com/?type=mv …but I wouldn’t go making any decisions based on this data.
