ArticleAnnouncer for Announcements
I was just thinking about how I liked Jason Potash’s ArticleAnnouncer product for the way it slaps my article into an emailable template to be sent to the popular article announcement lists (that I don’t control).
Great, so here I am sitting appreciating that I can now send my articles faster to the various email announcement lists…that produce zero results.
Here’s what’s needed:
A study with 10 new articles that are not posted ANYWHERE, and then post a single article of the 10 pak to each of the top 10 article announcement groups on Yahoo. Rinse and repeat with 10 more that are either B2B or B2C so that this study is done via both segements.
Then, after 30, 60 and 90 days, we can drill into the major search engines to find out where these articles landed and on who’s sites. This experiment is to determine if anyone really uses these article announcement lists or are they a complete waste of time? If it they do produce results, which one of the 10 B2B articles vs. 10 B2C articles created the best results?
Chris,
I used to send articles to a few publishers of SEO newsletters who insisted on first publication of my articles and found I just couldn’t stand it to keep them out of circulation for the week it took to hear back from those editors after writing them.
I have so far only published one article only on my (new) blog. If you want that one, I’m happy to test Article Announcer with that article, but I’m afraid it takes a serious poke at the software itself, which might not be acceptable to either you or Jason. Take a look at that blog entry linked from this post and let me know if you’d like to test it. If I don’t hear from you within a day I’m going to distribute it. ;-)
