Dave LavinskyRate This Post: As I was doing quality control this morning (reviewing a few hundred articles that our Associate Editors had approved in the last few hours), Dave’s newest article caught my attention. Actually, I like the majority of his articles and they clearly stand out as articles written from real-life expertise rather than some of the overly SEO-optimized articles that I’ve reviewed this morning. I’ve never met Dave before but I keep noticing him or his business throughout the years (even before he was submitting articles to us). Perhaps it’s because some day I’d like to graduate from CEO-entrepreneur to VC-entrepreneur… :-) A guy can dream.
Article Cement, Foundation BuilderRate This Post: One of the things I love about Article Marketing is that there is no instant money gratifications. Article Marketing “success” comes from consistent effort over a long period of time. It’s true you can ‘jump start’ it by drilling hundreds or thousands of articles into the system, but for most folks, it requires continual effort just like any business building activity. It’s also a snowball that once rolling, can not be stopped. Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to have an instant money payday upon just turning the crank on my article marketing expertise, but the sheer fact that you can’t get rich overnight makes this strategy a business foundation builder rather than a fly-by-night get-rich-quick scheme. Make sense?
Secrets, give or keep?Rate This Post: As an author, should you give or keep your best secrets when writing your articles? Some authors worry that if they give away all of their very best secrets via articles that no one would buy their ebook or physical book. The thinking goes, “Why should they buy my book because they can get the secrets for free via my articles?” They are flat out wrong. Here’s why:
Jason KatzenbackRate This Post: I just listened to a quick MP3 interview with one of our expert authors (Jason Katzenback). Jason Potash interviewed Jason Katzenback in a short clip on proving that Article Marketing Works. Of course we knew that already, but it’s good to see the message spreading. Way to go Jason and Jason! I love it when any of our 7,000+ registered authors gets more free publicity, especially from trusted sources! That reminds me: Psssst…reserve next Thursday night at 8pm EST for a insider teleseminar interview where I drill Jason Potash for 90 minutes about the power of Article Marketing! Will have the sign up page shortly.
Comments System BonusRate This Post: One bonus that I didn’t know we would be getting from adding the ability for anyone to comment on any article is that article thieves are pointed out and spotted in a self-policing efficient manner. So far, only two authors have lost their accounts due to being ‘outted’ by either the original author or someone who knows the original author.
ArticleAnnouncer - Jason PotashRate This Post: You probably didn’t notice it, but back in May we made some modifications to the EzineArticles system to be compatible with Jason Potash’s newest creation: ArticleAnnouncer It’s about time Jason created this product as his earlier product “EzineAnnouncer” is not as efficient as this new product designed more for the article marketing niche rather than the ezine promotion niche. I’ve been testing his product for a month now and will be sharing my test results in an exclusive teleclinic interview with Jason next week. Watch for details. In the meantime, go read his free report. I loved the part about the ‘quicksand‘ as it’s so true!
Ph.D vs. Ph.D.Rate This Post: Do you see the subtle author title difference between: Ph.D vs. Ph.D. If you have a doctorate degree, we recommend that you use the “Ph.D” instead of the “Ph.D.” and here’s why: When people forward your expert author URL or it’s included in an email newsletter, forward to a friend email, or a just one person giving another person a resource, any URL that ends in a period will fail to be an active link that is accurate. GOOD = http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=First_Last,_Ph.D
Protecting CopyrightsRate This Post: Photo Attorney Carolyn Wright wrote an excellent article on why you want to register your copyright BEFORE you sue someone for infringement or violating your perception of your copyrights. Worth a read:
QC Editor CodesRate This Post: If you’ve had your article approved recently on our site, you’ll note that we identify which team member on our staff approved your article. We do this by codes because we anticipate the makeup of our editorial team will continue to change and to protect the privacy of our behind-the-scenes team members. Our Network Admin & Programmer only approves articles after one of the other team members have approved of the article and this is only done when they are troubleshooting a system issue.
Pregnancy ArticlesRate This Post: I need your help properly putting this new sub-category in the proper main article category: Should “Pregnancy” be listed under: A) HEALTH & FITNESS We put it under HOME & FAMILY from one author’s suggestion but are having second thoughts…and before we populate it with existing articles that need to be moved, we wanted to get it right. Your thoughts?
