OCD Authors

OCD stands for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.

OCD In Authors Can Be Brilliant!

Over the past few weeks I’ve been contemplating the profile of our ideal or perfect author.

You know what? Sometimes the authors who are obsessive compulsives have some real value to offer us and others. A polite word for them is to say that they are “prolific writers!” :-)

If you’re obsessive about authoring articles and compulsive enough to act in a big way (means writing hundreds, if not thousands of articles and submitting them), then I’d say you are far from having any kind of disorder. If anything, you’re BRILLIANT!

Turn your passion into action.

A thousand articles?
Do you really think that’s possible?
Figure anyone with that type of writing skill would already be working at a syndicated newspaper, making good money ghostwriting or pumping out books….

I think it is and I am already half way home and half full on the way too. I would like to do 1111 articles, because I think that is a cool number indeed. Getting to 555 was not all that hard really. It seems like a lot but, not so bad and in four weeks of putting up my previous articles, I can safely say that it is much easier than once thought. Let’s say for instance you write 10 articles per week? That is easy, two per day? Really 10 one page articles or so. Piece of cake. Anyone can do that. So at the end of the year you would have 520 articles. Many authors already have 50 or so, all they need to do is put them up. I talked to one lady yesterday when I referred her to the EzineArticles.com site, she said she had several 20-30 page reports on many things, she showed me one. Every new chapter could be made into an article, so there were easily 6-8 articles in each report. Also she said she loved to email her friends and had 16,000 emails on her three computers, her two old ones and one new one. Well each time you write five paragraphs to a friend there is an article, if it is that important others also probably feel it is? Articles are easy, commitment is not. So are you committed? If show, go for it and you will be glad you did!!!

Is there anyone who has reached one thousand articles. Surely it wouldn’t be possible to write that many articles on one topic without repeating yourself. I can’t imagine any one person having that much knowledge.

I find your comment interesting in that I cannot imagine one person going thru life and observing all there is to observe without being able to discuss 1000 different sub-subjects of the things they had learned and thought about. Einstein said Imagination is the key. I not only can imagine it, I am sure that most people if they thought about it could do at least 2500 with no problem, that is if they applied themselves. Anything is possible if your have perserverance. 1000 articles is nothing, anyone can do it, some in their sleep. Are you from Missouri, because someone will soon show you.

I think there is a TREMENDOUS difference between having a PASSION for sharing, writing and uplifting the lives of others, than having OCD.

Passion is what fuels our writing, at least for me. It is in the moment, Divine, and inspired ‚¬€ which means “in spirit”. The sharing comes from the heart center where there is a desire to really make a difference in our world.

It’s easy to write thousands of pages of articles, books, e-books, and content when someone is in love with the process of it all. This website is a fantastic place for that kind of sharing.

I would replace “obsessive” with “inspired” : )
