Recently several authors have been sending in articles without any website addresses / URLs in their resource box. Frankly, I don’t get it. Getting a link back to your website is the PAYOFF for submitting an article and I want to encourage everyone to put (1) URL of yours in your RESOURCE BOX.

Now, some have taken it a bit too far and have abused it. In fact, one author put over 16 URLs in his RESOURCE BOX. Our posted editorial guidelines only allows (1), but we have been lenient and allowed (2) in many cases if it’s not abused.

The biggest thing we look for is that we don’t want the same URL listed twice in a given article if at all possible.

Conclusion: Have a clue and include your URL in your resource box, but don’t abuse it by sending in more than 2 URLs in the resource box.

I don’t get it either. Of course, these are the same people who show up at networking functions without any business cards or with cards that have incorrect contact information.
